Our Executive Management Team

Glenn K. Frank

Mr. Frank is responsible for directing the corporation and has Sales, Operations, Legal, and Administrative management oversight. Additionally, Glenn maintains primary responsible for relationships with suppliers and is directly involved in all key purchasing decisions. Glenn also provides both technical and sales input in support of the Metalworking Division.

Glenn has spent his entire 23-year career in the chemical industry. He has held a variety of positions in manufacturing, sales, marketing and business management while working for Milliken & Co. (Spartanburg, SC), Chemical and Solvents, Inc. (Roanoke, VA), Nalco Chemical Co. (Naperville, IL) and Castrol Industrial North America (Downers Grove, IL). A significant portion of Glenn’s career has been in the metalworking industry. Prior to joining QualiChem, Glenn spent eight years with Castrol Industrial North America in sales, marketing and senior management. For most of his tenure with Castrol, Glenn managed Castrol’s Cutting and Grinding product line and was responsible for new product development, pricing, and training of the direct sales forces and the distributor network.

Glenn is a native of Roanoke, VA and a 1985 graduate of the Virginia Military Institute with a B.S. in Chemistry.


Dennis E. Butts
Executive Vice-President

Mr. Butts is primarily responsible for overseeing operation of the Salem, VA manufacturing facility, including both short and long range planning to assure our facilities and processes meet the ever-growing needs of our customers. Additionally, Dennis is responsible for engineering design on new projects within QualiChem. Dennis also provides both technical and sales input in support of the Water Treatment Division.

Dennis began his career as an industrial refrigeration design and project engineer for Webber\Smith Associates (Lancaster, PA) and later Piedmont Engineering (Charlotte, NC). His responsibilities included the development, design, and construction oversight of industrial refrigeration systems for food and beverage process facilities and cold storage facilities throughout the United States. Dennis entered the chemical industry in field sales for Betz (Trevose, PA). For over seven years, Dennis provided field support to many industrial customers covering a wide range of markets including steel, textile, paper, chemical, municipal, tire, and light industrial/commercial.

Dennis is a native of Roanoke, VA and a 1987 graduate of the Virginia Military Institute with a B.S. in Civil Engineering.

Mike Forest
Director of Metalworking

Mr. Forest is responsible for sales, marketing and product management for the Metalworking Division of QualiChem. Mr. Forest began his career in the chemical industry as a field technician for Water Management Services (Southampton, PA) in the commercial water treatment market. Mr. Forest then spent 18+ years with Castrol Industrial (Downers Grove, IL). His metalworking career started in the lab synthesizing additives for Mayco Oil and Chemical (previously owned by Castrol) and providing field technical support for the Metalworking Division. From the lab, he took on a field sales position in Virginia where he achieved two consecutive Sales Engineer of the year awards for top sales growth. He was then was promoted to a marketing role and progressed to the Senior Product Manager for the US Metalworking business. Mr. Forest’s primary responsibility as Senior Product Manager was for sales support, new product development, pricing and product line strategy. Mr. Forest’s career progressed with promotions to Automotive Sales Manager then Director of Sales for Eastern US and Canada.  Mr. Forest joined QualiChem in 2005 as Director of Metalworking.

Mr. Forest is a native of Bucks County, PA and studied chemistry at East Stroudsburg University and Holy Family University.

Doug Frassa
Director of Water Treatment

Mr. Frassa is responsible for divisional and operational support of the Water Treatment Division.  His responsibilities include management of sales, marketing, product management and onboarding of new channel partners within the Water Treatment Division.

Doug’s career began with Mobil Oil as a process engineer. For his six-year tenure with Mobil, he was responsible for process engineering design, operations, project engineering, energy conservation and product scheduling at several Midwest and West Coast petroleum refineries. Prior to joining QualiChem, Doug spent 19 years in sales and sales management with GE Water and Process Technologies (formerly Betz, Trevose, PA). His responsibilities included development, implementation and management of water treatment programs (boiler, cooling, waste water) for the power and large manufacturing industries (paper, chemical processing, tire), as well light manufacturing (textile, food) and institutional/commercial applications.

Mr. Frassa graduated from Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. He is a Certified Water Technologist as validated by the Association of Water Technologies.
